IT'S A SUNNY NEW DAY!

Sunny the Sideloader is the first book in the eco-friendly Clean Machines series-- but it's so much more than a book. It's a whole new way of making and consuming entertainment products.

Think about the popular children's series you know. They usually start with hardcover books. The books are then adapted into movies or shows, followed by countless toys (or sometimes it's the other way around, for example, with Disney.)

Now let's think about those books and toys a little deeper. Did you know that all hardcover children's books are covered in plastic? Yep, all of them. Even the FSC certified "eco-friendly" ones. And almost all of them are printed overseas. What does this mean? The books have a heavy carbon footprint and are ultimately headed for the landfill since they can't be recycled or composted.

And don't get us started on the toys! They're typically manufactured with virgin plastic, packaged in single-use plastic and you guessed it... headed for the landfill.

Parents have had to choose between entertaining their children or caring for the earth.
But there's a better way.

The Clean Machines series turns the traditional, outdated model of entertainment products on its head. Yes, the series begins with a hardcover book. But Sunny the Sideloader is printed in North America with vegetable inks on 100% PCW recycled text. And it's not covered in plastic. In fact, the book is backyard compostable and curbside recyclable (except for the binding thread.)

You may be wondering: What about toys? Great question.

All products in The Clean Machines series will be thoughtfully and sustainably made. No virgin or single-use plastics. Ever.
Because our children deserve a brighter future.
