Homemade Glue
We found this glue recipe on pagingfunmums.com and we love it so much more than store-bought glue! It's super quick and easy to make. Plus, you probably have the ingredients in your kitchen. Best of all, it's completely compostable, and an all-around awesome glue.
What You'll Need:
Steps
1. Put all the ingredients in a medium saucepan and mix with a whisk until there are no lumps.
2. Bring the mixture to a boil. Within minutes, it will thicken and turn translucent .
3. Take it off the heat to cool.
4. As soon as it’s cooled down enough to touch, you can use it!
The recipe makes approximately 4 cups of glue. It can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 months. The glue will turn to a solid jelly once refrigerated, but you can add some hot water to bring it back to the right consistency.

- 1 tablespoon of white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons of Salt
- 4 cups of Hot Water

Flour Paint
Make your own flour paint with just three ingredients.
What You'll Need:
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup water
Food coloring
Steps:
1. Mix the flour and water together. Add more water as needed to create the right consistency.
2. Pour the mixture into jars or a muffin tin.
3. Add drops of food coloring to make your desired colors.
4. Stir and paint!
A couple things to keep in mind:
The paint doesn't store too well, so it's best to make only the amount you need for one project.
Also, flour paint Is NOT edible because it contains raw flour. According to the CDC, raw flour can cause food poisoning. So please don't eat the paint!
